Another Way to Make a Gift

You may designate your gift to benefit the area or program of your choice. Unrestricted gifts are dispersed to Greater Valley Health Center's areas of greatest need. Below are some other popular ways Greater Valley Health Center receives donations.
Stock Gifts. When giving securities such as stocks, treasury certificates, or bonds (assuming they have been held for over a year):
- donors can claim the full fair market value of the gift as a tax deduction, and,
- avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation of the asset
Other Assets. Other appreciable assets, such as real estate, such as land or a house, or tangible personal property, such as jewelry or artwork, can be donated with similar tax benefits.
